EnviroBuild is proud to announce that a contract has been signed with Taylor Wimpey for the use of their innovative 150 Aqua Channel aluminium decking in the refurbishment of the balconies at Latham’s Yard.
Located in London, the aim of the refurbishment project is to adhere to the updated legislation following the Grenfell Tower fire (The Building (Amendment) Regulations 2018 (S.I. 2018/ 1230) legislation). With a Class-A fire resistance rating, EnviroBuild’s latest aluminium decking material passes all of the stringent safety tests with no issue. The decking uses a simple clipless system for ease of installation, as well as featuring a passive water drainage system and being low-slip.
The multi-phase project will see no less than 10 high-rise apartment buildings being fitted with EnviroBuild’s aluminium deck boards, for a total of around 4,000 m2 of material. Anthracite 7016 was chosen as the colour by PRP Architects, with KDD Construction hired as subcontractors.
As their name suggests, EnviroBuild’s main goal is to be as environmentally sustainable as possible whilst maintaining a high-quality range of products for their customers. Made entirely from aluminium, 150 Aqua Channel decking is fully recyclable and there is an option to purchase aluminium manufactured using entirely renewable energy, lowering the carbon intensity of the product by 70%.
