Grainger Plc, the UK’s largest listed specialist residential landlord and property management company, has worked with Qube Global Software to support its first PRS development, Abbeville Apartments.
Grainger is expanding rapidly into the PRS, with plans to invest more than £850m into the sector by 2020. It recently completed Abbeville Apartments, one of the country’s first residential schemes designed and built specifically for long-term renting. Abbeville, in Barking, East London, comprises 100 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
At the end of last year, Qube became the first UK-based provider to announce the development of a unified management tool for the PRS model. The software allows PRS developers to run their entire property operation – from attracting tenants and processing tenancies to long-term maintenance and financial management of their schemes – using one software solution.
Neil Harker, senior business analyst at Grainger, said: “We needed the ability to market each unit on the property portals, track a potential tenant coming in, manage the sign-up process, and then set up the tenancies and manage them on an ongoing basis. We had to do all of this quickly and accurately on a single integrated system. Five months down the line from the launch of Abbeville Apartments, I can confirm the application has been spot on.”
Grainger has a long-established relationship with Qube, which has evolved into a highly collaborative partnership.
