John Byers reflects on 30 years of LBB Chartered Surveyors

John Byers, co-founder and director of LBB Chartered Surveyors reflects on 30 years in business.

On 1st December, LBB Chartered Surveyors celebrated 30 years of business.

I still remember joining a previous iteration of the company as a young building surveyor in 1988, never imagining that all this time later I would still be here!

...

I know everyone at LBB greatly appreciates the clients we have worked with and those others in the profession we have known and become friends with over these many years. Not everything has been easy. There has been successes and failures in the past and now, in these recent months I think the challenges the industry faces may have never been greater. But here we are!

From our conception in Bloomsbury, we have been in Fleet Street, and most recently, Temple for some 15 years with a still growing team of fabulous, dedicated building surveyors and valuers.

I would like to thank my business partners, Justin Bennett and Iain Pendle on whom I rely for support, encouragement and some correction when needed. All of us in business need good friends and colleagues who have our backs when we need it.

I think of the many once young surveyors who have started their careers and matured at LBB, many of whom we are still in touch with. It is a privilege to be able to give young professionals a start in their career, and I feel proud to see so many go on to succeed at what they do.

I may not have another 30 years in me, but I know LBB does!

A huge thank you to you all.
