Leasehold management’s leading lady launches new managing agent: SAMAS Property Management

Samantha Massey, fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Director at The Property Institute (TPI), is launching a new service aimed at reinvigorating the experience of customers in residential property management.

As a trailblazer for women in the residential property industry and cofounder of Doyenne, the networking group for women in block management, Sam is no stranger to ground-breaking initiatives in block and estate management.

Now, after a distinguished career of over two decades as a senior leader at some of the UK’s leading residential property management firms, Samantha Massey is launching her own venture, SAMAS Property Management.

...

Her vision is to draw on her vast experience to create a firm which offers a new type of service to customers, focussing particularly on educating key stakeholders to deliver a collaborative, supportive management relationship.

Sam sees initiatives, such as offering bespoke training for Directors of Resident Management Companies (RMCs) and supporting developers with design and management decisions from inception through to delivery, as being crucial to helping to improve the relationship between managing agents and clients.

Having been involved in bringing the ‘Partners’ concept to Property Management, working with startups and small agencies as they set up their own businesses, Sam has most recently worked with B-hive to make the proposition even better, and now sees it as the right vehicle to grow her own business.

With her depth of industry knowledge, and a clear belief in the potential to improve customer experience, Sam is clear that B-hive’s central compliance and accounting network will enable her clients to access her personal support and expertise, backed up by industry-leading, scalable processes.

Combining elegant use of online services and technology with robust back office support and her empathetic management style, SAMAS is designed to be the management service that clients expect in 2022 and beyond.

London-based Sam said: “I have been approached countless times in the last 20 years to consider starting my own managing agent, but I have always been conscious of building the infrastructure I know is vital to providing a comprehensive, compliant and supportive service.

Having helped to design and build B-hive’s industry-leading back office and technology offering, I know I have the backup I will need to deliver the engaged, collaborative management service that I believe in. I can’t wait to get started.”

Within the next few months, SAMAS will start acting for 16 blocks which are already lined up to experience the differentiated offering that the new business is going to provide. SAMAS is certainly ready to hit the ground running, and Sam is ready to speak to RMCs, developers and freeholders across the UK about how she can revolutionise their management experience.
