Doyenne Does International Women’s Day (IWD) – a day of celebration and education for women and men across the industry – is following up the success of the 2023 event with a packed itinerary and a focus on mental health for its 2024 incarnation at the KIA Oval on 8th March.
After the highly successful inaugural event last year drew over 100 attendees from across the gender spectrum, the team behind the networking group “Doyenne” have pulled together a list of speakers that they hope will take the event to the next level.
With Platinum sponsors Ground Up Property Group on board, shortlists soon to be announced for nine award categories, and ticket sales already surpassing the number sold last year, the 2024 incarnation looks like one of the year’s must-attend industry events.
This year’s headliners, Laughology, utilise the psychology of humour, laughter and happiness to improve performance and support long term happiness in the workplace. It’s a message that the organisers see as being central to supporting all professionals in the leasehold industry.
Co-founder and organiser Samantha Massey says: “Our focus has been on creating an event with the ideal balance between industry-specific education and a softer, more human side to support the mental health of our colleagues across the industry. Laughology’s approach fits perfectly at the heart of that, helping to improve performance by focussing on mental health.”
Fellow co-founder Alice Cadfan-Lewis says: “We were blown away by the success of last year’s event, and it was so inspiring to see so many people coming together to support each other and the industry.”
Alice continues: “We had familiar faces from the industry rubbing shoulders with Doyenne’s members and the atmosphere was fanastic, so we knew we had to make things even better this year. Ticket sales have been doing brilliantly even before we have announced the agenda. We can’t wait to see everyone next month.”
Laughology will be joined by a host of speakers from across the Leasehold industry, including: Cassandra Zanelli, Solicitor and CEO at Property Management Legal Services; Victoria Whitelaw, Building Safety Team Leader at Rendall and Rittner; Paul Robinson, Managing Director at Midway Insurance Services.
