A business development specialist with nearly nine years of experience has been recruited to a key new role at Principle Estate Management.
Stephanie Jobson will join the UK’s fastest growing residential management company as business operations manager, taking its headcount to 35 within just three years of its launch.
Mrs Jobson will be analysing business systems to improve customer experience, looking at internal processes to streamline tasks for staff, and working with various teams to help refine customer service performance.
Her new position will further strengthen Principle’s senior management team following Andrew Winstanley’s appointment as property operations manager in January.
Mrs Jobson comes with a wealth of knowledge from a career that most recently saw her as head of business development for sport at the University of Warwick.
That role saw her leading a team of 15 and managing all commercial and income generating activities, leading to a 50%-plus increase in turnover to £4.8 million last year.
Before her university role, Mrs Jobson was business development manager at the Birmingham County Football Association, where she had worked since graduating with a first-class degree in the Sociology of Sport from the University of Bath.
Brett Williams, managing director at Principle, explained that he had known Mrs Jobson for a few years, as she was the sister of his business partner Joe Jobson.
He said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephanie to the team, and pleased at the transferable skills she brings with her that will assist and improve our business and customer offerings.
“We had several conversations on the details of her exact role and were impressed with her enthusiasm for high levels of customer service, which is so important at Principle.
“One of her key focuses during her time at Warwick was overseeing the customer life cycle and experience, and we’d like her to improve the same themes here at Principle.
“What was especially interesting about her role at Warwick was her development of a strategic vision for sport at the university, introducing a streamlined set of objectives to drive business performance with Stephanie leading a project team to achieve them.
“With that in mind, we will be involving Stephanie in our new business proposals, including a number of build-to-rent opportunities with developer clients.”
Mr Williams explained that Principle had become an established operator in the block and estate management arena, with over 7,000 units now in management and continuing to grow.
He said this meant the company wanted to add structure to its operations, freeing up the directors to continue developing the business, expanding into other areas such as residential and commercial property portfolio management.
He added: “Stephanie also has a great sporting background which is a good fit for us as we are all rather competitive!”
Mrs Jobson, who is currently renovating her house in Kenilworth with her partner, is a keen golfer and has previously represented Warwickshire at cricket.
She said: “I’m really excited to be joining a company that I have watched grow from a two-man business to one with a staff of 35.
“Property is in the blood with my father having been an insurance broker until he retired.
“I am very driven and determined to make a difference and build on the great foundations already here at Principle.”
Mrs Jobson added: “I recognise and share the values at Principle and, with my passion for customer excellence, am keen to get stuck in and start making a difference in helping Principle get to the next level.”
