Principle Estate Management, the UK’s fastest growing residential management company, has appointed a new apprentice to join its customer services team.

Seran Fitzpatrick, who has previously worked in the retail and hospitality sectors, initially joined on a day release training contract but has now started a full apprenticeship.

She is one of three apprentices at Principle and was recruited via Protocol Consultancy Services, a training provider based in Birmingham, whose managing director Sue Tipton received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours last year.

Michelle Cox, customer services manager, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Seran to the team and feel that the people skills she built up in previous jobs will really help her to deal with our clients.

“Her appointment comes as Holly Cox, a previous apprentice who has recently completed her programme, has been retained on a full-time contract and promoted to customer services assistant.

“As we continue to expand and grow our managed portfolio, we need to ensure we have people on the front line to ensure excellent customer services standards, and so we hope that Seran will follow in Holly’s footsteps.”

She added: “It’s great to see these young people starting out on their chosen career path and starting to learn the complexities of property management and general office work.”

Ms Fitzpatrick, who lives in Solihull, has previously worked part-time for a flower shop and more recently for Next, as well as work experience at the Ramada Hotel in Solihull. She also enjoys working with children, and has helped out at a Dance school called The Starlets.

She said: “I was keen to get a job that would challenge me but also train me, and one where I would gain even more experience and new skills in the workplace.

“Principle is a really professional firm, and I was thrilled to get this opportunity to work in its customer services team. I’ve enjoyed my day release so far and am now looking forward to getting fully trained on my apprenticeship.”

Launched in 2018, Principle has since grown from what was virtually a one-man band into what is now more than 35 staff looking after a portfolio of more than 7,000 units in 250-plus developments across the UK.
