Principle Estate Management expands portfolio with retirement developments

Principle Estate Management have been appointed on three separate retirement developments with properties in London, Oxford and Worcestershire, including two RTM-led developments and a corporate client.

Joe Jobson, joint managing director, said "We're getting more enquiries for retirement living schemes and our wide range of expertise and extra-personal service within our business development and property management teams lends itself particularly well to the needs of this type of development. We’re pleased to be ending 2024 with our first retirement instructions with more in the pipeline for next year”.

One RTM-led development, Westminster Court in Worcester, is a 15-unit apartment building in landscaped grounds. Another, London Court in Oxford, is a development of 43 units with communal gardens and a resident general manager.

Brian Hall, director at London Court, said: “Principle Estate Management were recommended by our accountants. We started with a short-term contract to fit in with the end of our financial year to see how that would work in practice. Over that period, it bedded in extremely well and we now have an annual management contract.

“From our first meeting with them, to signing a management agreement, we found them to be honest and thorough regarding their terms of engagement and helpful when we needed clarification on any specific issues that needed addressing. Communication with the whole team at Principle has been very good, with queries being answered quickly and fully. As the RTM company that is responsible for the safety and well-being of our residents and their financial security, I am confident that we are working with a great team at Principle.”

Across the three developments, Principle’s property management services will include maintaining communal spaces including the gardens, car parking, residents’ lounges and lifts.

Joe Jobson added, “We’ve received fantastic feedback so far from our new retirement developments. Westminster Court held a welcome party for Alex Jordan, their new property manager from Principle, and we were delighted with our feedback from London Court following the extension of our initial contract. The whole team is looking forward to developing our working relationships with the directors and residents.”

Launched in 2018, Principle now manages over 20,000 units with offices in Birmingham, London and the North West and a team of over 70 people.
